Multi-disciplinary team of specialists: The cancer department has all required types of oncologists to review cases together (surgical, medical and radiation oncology). This type of collaborative approach to develop a treatment plan for the patient is considered a global best practice in cancer care. Being a multi-specialty hospital, there are other specialists also available who can work closely with oncologists on case specific issues e.g. gastroentrologists, neurologists, urologists, pulmonologists etc. This is particularly important for treating advanced stage cancer that has spread to other body parts.

The radiation therapy machine was purchased in 2019, and is one of the latest models with several features that are beneficial for patients. Supportive Care Team: Cancer patients often need many supportive care specialists other than oncologists to deal with the treatment. Financing Options: Aster launched the Aster financing service, a way for needy patients to fund treatments through loans. The hospital has a separate super-specialty department with specialists who are often needed to work with cancer teams e.g. neurosurgery, urology, gasteroenterology, pulmonology etc.. Palliative care specialists are specialized doctors who work with patient during treatment and recovery to provide relief from symptoms such as pain.
